For his research achievements he received a number of awards, such as the Excellence in Service Research Award and the Research Award of the Academy of Marketing. Professor Hennig-Thurau is an author and editor of several books in the field of marketing.

His book "Relationship Marketing" is a standard work in the CRM field and has been translated into Chinese.
